Why this upright fridge earns its place
The Polar G-Series patisserie fridge is a lighter-duty alternative to the U-Series bakery cabinets — a white-finished, 522-litre single-door unit built around the same 600x400mm patisserie tray format, but positioned for kitchens with lighter daily demands rather than continuous production-line use.
Net volume is 410 litres, held at 0 to +8°C by fan-assisted cooling with automatic off-cycle defrost, so there's no manual defrost routine to manage. Six sets of adjustable tray guides handle the 600x400mm trays (sold separately), and the LED digital display keeps internal temperature visible at a glance. Running cost is rated at 624.1 kWh a year, Energy Class C, EEI 48.7%, on a modest 185W input — helped by 60mm of insulation that Polar builds in specifically to keep running costs down.
Construction is painted steel exterior with an ABS interior, a lighter-duty finish than the stainless steel used on Polar's heavier commercial ranges, reflected in its lighter-duty positioning. The door is lockable and reversible, refrigerant is R600a, and the cabinet is rated Climate Class 4. It carries 2 years parts and labour warranty as standard.
