Why this upright fridge earns its place
The PC005 is Polar's C-Series single-door upright fridge in white — a step up in volume from the 400-litre-class models, giving genuinely large standalone chilled storage for kitchens where the fridge isn't opened constantly through service but does need real capacity. It's positioned for general-purpose storage in less demanding professional environments.
Inside, adjustable shelving holds 428 litres of net storage at +2°C to +5°C, via fan-assisted and static cooling, with a 2/1 GN-compatible interior for fast filling and access of gastronorm stock. Energy Class A performance gives an EEI of 21.9% at 288.4kWh a year on a 200W input and 230V supply. It's rated for a 10°C to 32°C ambient operating range at climate class 4, running on R600a refrigerant.
The cabinet is finished in white with a sturdy lockable, reversible door for security and flexible access in tighter kitchen layouts, sitting on fixed rear castors for straightforward positioning and cleaning. Insulation runs to 60mm, helping keep running costs and performance in check on a cabinet this size. Temperature control is via a digital display with user-friendly controls, and defrost is manual. It carries a 2-year parts and labour warranty at 90kg gross weight.
