Why this upright fridge earns its place
The HT005 is HOST's single-door upright fridge, a 600-litre cabinet (376 litres net usable) built around 2/1 GN compatibility for straightforward commercial kitchen storage. It's aimed at kitchens that want a dependable, no-frills upright fridge at a lower cost point than the premium brands, without giving up proper build quality or capacity.
It holds -2°C to +8°C across 3 adjustable shelves, with fan-assisted cooling that HOST specifies for fast temperature recovery after the door's been opened, backed by 60mm insulation to help hold that recovery and keep running costs down. Power draw is 300W on a 230V supply, with an estimated energy use of 730 kWh a year and an EEI of 48%, putting it at Energy Class C. Externally it measures 2000mm high x 680mm wide x 815mm deep and weighs 135kg.
The fridge runs on R600a refrigerant and is built to Climate Class 4, rated for ambient kitchen conditions up to 32°C. The door is reversible and fitted with a lockable handle for stock security, and the whole cabinet sits on lockable castors so it can be positioned and then held in place. Temperature is set through a digital control panel. HOST backs the HT005 with a 1-year parts-only warranty.
