Why this upright fridge earns its place
The Hoshizaki Premier CZ238 is a wide single-door upright refrigerator built around 2/1 gastronorm, holding 475 litres across four shelves at +2 to +12 °C. It gives a kitchen full-height chilled storage that accepts standard GN trays directly, so prepped pans move from the line into cold storage without decanting into different containers.
At 810 mm wide and 800 mm deep, the wide body is the point: gastronorm trays sit across the interior on their runners, and a single full-height door keeps the cold contained during quick, repeated access. It is built as a back-of-house workhorse for kitchens that run their mise en place on gastronorm. Energy-wise, the CZ238 is A-class: around 337 kWh per year (0.93 kWh per day), so efficient for its size.
Because the cabinet is wider than a standard single-door upright, plan the doorway and aisle before it arrives. The 120 W power draw will fit any standard circuit.
