Why this upright fridge earns its place
The CZ242 is Hoshizaki's Premier K60CDRU, a single-door slimline upright fridge built for chilled storage in a working kitchen. At 610 mm wide and 920 mm deep, it takes up less floor space than a standard single-door upright whilst holding 335 litres across four shelves — enough for a section or station drawing on it through service. The narrow footprint makes it a natural fit for galley kitchens and tight back-of-house runs where every millimetre counts.
One full-height door opens onto interior shelving, so stock stays visible and easy to rotate rather than stacked out of reach. The chilled hold sits at +2 to +12 °C, standard for fresh and prepped ingredients. For running cost, the CZ242 carries an A-class energy rating: expect around 286 kWh/year or 0.79 kWh per day — low for an upright of this type.
