Why this single door upright fridge earns its place
The HS40 is Blizzard's 320-litre single-door upright refrigerator, a straightforward workhorse cabinet for kitchens that need dependable everyday chilled storage rather than a specialist format. It's built with a reversible door, so it can be set up to hinge either way depending on how it sits against the rest of the kitchen run.
It holds a gross volume of 305 litres across 4 adjustable wire shelves, weighs 78kg, and draws an estimated 127 kWh a year at Energy Class B. Cooling is ventilated, controlled through a Dixell digital controller, with automatic defrost — no manual defrost downtime to schedule around service. It's built to Climate Class 4 and runs on a standard 13-amp supply.
The exterior is 304 stainless steel with a white, easy-clean ABS interior, and the door has an integrated lock plus a full-height handle. The door gasket is replaceable, extending the working life of the seal without needing a new door. It runs on R600a refrigerant, and moves on rear rollers with front feet for stability once positioned.
