Why this upright fridge earns its place
The Polar G-Series PG594 is a double-door upright fridge for high-volume chilled storage, holding a wide range of ingredients across sturdy adjustable shelving. It's the direct successor to the popular G594, rebuilt around a stronger energy rating on the same footprint.
Inside there's 887 litres of net usable capacity, held at -2 to +8°C by fan-assisted cooling that maintains a consistent temperature through the frequent access typical of a high-output kitchen. Energy Class B at 605.9 kWh a year (EEI 29.3%) is the headline change from the outgoing model.
Construction is stainless steel throughout, with eight adjustable shelves and two floor protectors, lockable self-closing doors, a front-mounted digital display, and energy-saving LED interior lighting. Automatic defrost and R600a refrigerant at Climate Class 5 keep performance consistent, heavy-duty castors make positioning straightforward, and the fridge is backed by two years' parts and labour warranty. Gross weight is 163kg, drawing 280W on a 220-240V supply.
