Why this upright fridge earns its place
The Hoshizaki Premier K140CU is a double-door upright refrigerator for chilled storage behind the line. Its 1085-litre interior is built around 2/1 gastronorm with 8 shelves, so pans move straight from the prep bench into the cabinet without repacking into smaller containers, which keeps stock rotation simple across a bigger volume of chilled goods without stacking awkwardly.
Two full-height doors let more of the interior be reached at once during a service rush, so two members of staff can work either side without waiting on each other, and the upright format keeps stock at eye level rather than stacked in a chest where lower items get lost. The wider double-door opening does mean allowing clearance either side for both doors to swing clear, so it suits a dedicated run rather than a tight gap between neighbouring units. Built in 304 stainless steel for durability.
It is part of Hoshizaki's Premier range of commercial storage refrigeration, aimed at kitchens that need dependable positive-temperature holding at higher volume rather than display chilling. This unit offers excellent energy efficiency at class A, running at just 1.6 kWh per day, so operating costs are modest even with constant service traffic. It weighs 196 kg and is 1380mm wide. Craven Cooling can check the full temperature, capacity and energy details against your throughput and site layout before it's specified, and can service it once installed.
