Why this double door upright fridge earns its place
The GUC140 is a two-door upright refrigerator built for high-volume chilled storage in a commercial kitchen. It offers 1166 litres gross and 1056 litres net across three shelves per door, all in stainless steel inside and out. Gastronorm compatibility lets you rack pans of prepped stock straight from the line into cold storage.
It holds +2 to +8 °C on ventilated cooling, so air circulates evenly across a fully loaded cabinet, with automatic electric defrost and an electronic controller keeping the set point without manual work. It runs at 45 dB and carries a climate class 4 rating for warm kitchens. At energy class C and 613.2 kWh a year, running costs come to about £153 a year at 25p/kWh.
The cabinet measures 1340 × 845 × 2000 mm externally with a 1220 × 680 × 1384 mm interior, and ships packed at 1400 × 880 × 2070 mm — at over two metres tall and 140 kg net, plan the delivery route and lift carefully. It runs on a standard 13 A supply at 320 W and uses R290 refrigerant with a 150 g charge.
