Why this display fridge earns its place
The Foster EcoPro G3 EP1440G is a two-door glass-fronted upright fridge — the display version of Foster's larger EP1440 cabinet, for anywhere 1350 litres of chilled stock needs to be visible as well as stored: a deli counter, a drinks display, or a self-service chilled cabinet. It holds +1°C to +4°C, the standard chilled band for fresh produce, dairy and drinks, with 960 litres of usable net capacity behind the glass. This is the standard-construction version — the same cabinet and performance as the premium model, at a lower interior specification.
Six 2/1 GN shelves, three per door, each with the anti-tilt system standard across the range and rated to 40kg, give serious racking for a cabinet this size, and Foster's Circulair I air-distribution technology keeps that +1°C to +4°C band consistent front to back. Cooling is fan-assisted on a 230V supply; the glass door means this cabinet is rated climate class 3 (ambient up to +25°C) rather than the higher classes on solid-door cabinets. Fuzzy Logic II 'e' mode control lands it at Energy Class B, 1460.0 kWh a year and an EEI of 16.9%.
Build is standard-grade stainless steel exterior with an aluminium interior. Both doors are self-closing and lockable with a 90° dwell for loading, fitted with a thermal-break frame and hot-gas door heater to control condensation on the glass, and the touch-sensitive control panel stays hidden until lit. The refrigerant is R134a, and the cabinet sits on 80mm castors, the front two braked. It carries 2 years on-site parts and labour cover.
