Why this display fridge earns its place
The Foster EcoPro G3 EP1440G 41-494 is a two-door glass-fronted upright fridge — the display version of Foster's larger EP1440 cabinet, built for anywhere 1350 litres of chilled stock needs to be visible as well as stored: a busy deli counter, a drinks display, or a self-service chilled cabinet. It holds +1°C to +4°C, the standard chilled band for fresh produce, dairy and drinks, with 960 litres of usable net capacity behind the glass.
Six 2/1 GN shelves, three per door, each with the anti-tilt system standard across the range and rated to 40kg, give serious racking for a cabinet this size, and Foster's Circulair I air-distribution technology keeps that +1°C to +4°C band consistent from front to back so stock pressed against the glass holds the same temperature as stock at the rear. Cooling is fan-assisted on a 230V supply, and because glass doors carry more heat gain, Foster rates this cabinet at climate class 3 (ambient up to +25°C). Fuzzy Logic II 'e' mode control still lands it at Energy Class B, 1460.0 kWh a year and an EEI of 16.9%.
This is the premium-construction version, built in heavy-duty stainless steel exterior and interior throughout. Both doors are self-closing and lockable with a 90° dwell for loading, and an inner recessed door interface protects the gasket from the cold air inside — a detail that extends gasket life against the constant opening a display cabinet gets. The refrigerant is R134a, and the cabinet runs on a thermal-break frame with a hot-gas door heater to control condensation on the glass. It sits on 80mm castors, the front two braked, and carries 2 years on-site parts and labour cover.
