Why this triple door pizza prep counter earns its place
The TEFCOLD PT1310 + GVC38-200 is a refrigerated pizza prep counter paired with a topping unit, built to keep dough, cheese and toppings cold and to hand at a single prep station. It puts refrigerated storage below the worktop and chilled toppings across the top, so a line cook can build to order without leaving the station. The stainless steel construction (SS201/SS304) stands up to daily cleaning in a working kitchen.
Day to day it runs a +2 to +10 °C band under an electronic controller, with automatic defrost so there is no manual cycle to schedule. It carries a class B energy rating with an energy efficiency index of 34.8%, and runs quietly at a rated 42 dB — low enough for an open kitchen or front-of-house prep line. Rated energy use is 879.7 kWh a year, about £220 a year at 25p/kWh.
The counter uses R600a, a natural hydrocarbon refrigerant, and draws 300 W. Its two hinged doors are self-closing, so under-counter storage returns to temperature after each service grab without staff having to check the door is shut.
