Why this counter fridge earns its place
The DA465 is a Polar U-Series chef base counter fridge with six refrigerated drawers. At 1795mm wide and 630mm tall, it is built to sit under a cooking suite, griddle or salamander, turning the space beneath the cook line into chilled drawer storage. It holds 98 litres of usable chill space—enough to keep portioned prep within reach during service without constant walk-in trips.
Day to day, the six drawers give divided chilled storage that opens straight onto the line, so the kitchen makes fewer trips mid-service. The chef base format is designed to carry cooking equipment on top while keeping the prep below cold at -2 to +8°C. At 136kg, it is stable enough for heavy griddles and induction hobs without flex.
It draws 155W and runs at Energy class C (916 kWh/year), so the running cost is reasonable for a prep base with constant access.
