Why this counter fridges/freezer earns its place
The Foster FlexDrawer GM841 is a single-drawer counter fridge/freezer for a focused prep position or a smaller service line. Its one drawer switches between fridge and freezer at the touch of a button, working anywhere across a -21°C to +4°C range, so a single compact unit can chill one day and freeze the next. This version includes an upstand for rear splash protection where the counter backs onto a wall.
It holds 77 litres in a drawer sized for full 1/1 GN pans and rated to carry up to 200kg. Built from 304 stainless steel inside and out, its countertop is engineered to take hot cooking equipment such as griddles, induction hobs and broilers. At 700mm high it tucks under a standard worktop line, on a 1100mm wide by 700mm deep footprint, and weighs 90kg — the lightest and most compact of the FlexDrawer counters.
Cooling is fan-assisted on R290, a natural hydrocarbon refrigerant with a global-warming potential of just 3, and the unit is built to climate class 5 — rated to run in ambient temperatures up to 43°C. It draws 2300W from a 230V, 50Hz single-phase supply and is rated energy class C at around 1,203 kWh a year.
