Why this prep counter earns its place
The Polar GH261 is a compact countertop refrigerated topping unit, sized for smaller sandwich shops, pizzerias and restaurants that need hygienic, chilled access to a handful of key ingredients rather than a full prep counter. It takes four 1/3 GN pans plus one 1/2 GN pan (sold separately), giving a practical five-pan spread in a genuinely small footprint.
It runs +2°C to +8°C on R600a refrigerant, drawing just 110W from a 220–240V supply — a low power draw that suits a smaller kitchen adding a topping station without a major electrical load. Cooling is static, with a continual evaporator preventing water build-up in the well, and it's rated to keep food cool even in ambients up to 32°C.
Construction is stainless steel throughout for easy cleaning, on sturdy feet for stable positioning. The glass sneeze screen surround isn't fitted on delivery, to prevent transit damage, so a small amount of self-assembly is needed on-site. GN trays up to 150mm deep fit the well, and the digital control panel gives a user-friendly temperature readout. It weighs 57.3kg gross and carries a 2-year parts and labour warranty.
