Why this four door counter fridge earns its place
The Blizzard HBC4 is a four-door refrigerated counter — the largest format in Blizzard's counter fridge range, built for kitchens running a full prep line rather than a single station. It measures 2230 × 700 × 950mm with a rear stainless steel upstand to protect the wall behind it, and holds 553 litres gross across four doors.
Four adjustable shelves give racking across all four compartments, and an even, ducted air distribution system keeps temperature consistent along the full 2.2 metre length. Cooling is ventilated, controlled through a Dixell digital controller, and on a standard 13-amp supply the unit is rated Energy Class D at 345 kWh a year — a running cost that reflects the sheer scale of the unit rather than any inefficiency in the system.
Build is stainless steel exterior and interior, rated climate class 4 and running at 42dB. All four doors are self-closing with a dwell position for hands-free loading and fitted with replaceable gaskets, with internal corners rounded for cleaning. The refrigerant is R290, defrost is automatic, and the 185kg unit sits on lockable heavy-duty castors, available with a 2 or 3 drawer option in place of the doors.
