Why this double door counter fridge earns its place
The CK7240 is a refrigerated counter that puts chilled storage and a working surface in one unit, sized around GN1/1 trays. It gives a line cook a stainless top to prep on with 282 litres gross (272 litres net) of cold storage underneath, so mise en place lives directly below the section rather than a walk across the kitchen. Built in SS304 inside and out, it stands up to daily wipe-downs and heavy service.
It holds -2 to +10 °C using ventilated cooling, which drives cold air around the cabinet and recovers temperature quickly after the doors have been open through a busy line. An electronic controller manages the band and automatic defrost keeps the evaporator clear, so there is no manual run-down. It runs at 42 dB, is rated climate class 4 for warmer kitchens, and at energy class B uses 723 kWh a year — about £181 a year at 25p/kWh (EEI 31.2).
Internally the cabinet measures 902 × 530 × 589 mm and it ships packed at 1390 × 730 × 1010 mm, so plan the delivery route around that. It is a substantial unit at 112 kg net, runs off a standard 13 amp supply at 220-240 V drawing 300 W, and uses R600a refrigerant with a 95 g charge.
