Why this counter fridge earns its place
A chef base turns the space beneath a hot line into cold storage. The DA462 is a two-door version at 1360mm wide and 630mm tall, built to carry cooking equipment on top while keeping prep and service stock chilled to -2 to +8°C and to hand directly below, rather than a walk away in a back-of-house fridge. It holds 108 litres of usable chill space, enough for a small line's mise en place and portioned garnishes without over-capacity.
Day to day, the two doors give the line separate access points into the base, so a cook can pull from the nearest section without opening the whole cabinet and losing the cold. It keeps working stock at the pass and the ventilated cooling holds temperature consistently during service. At just 82kg, it is also the lightest chef base in the range, making it manageable on delivery.
It is a fitted counter unit meant to be built into the run and to bear the weight of the equipment sited on top. It draws 150W and runs at Energy class B (708 kWh/year), the lowest running cost in the U-Series range. Plan the line around that load and leave room for the doors to open; check the specification card for weight and power, and our team can confirm the fit before installation.
