Why this counter fridge earns its place
The PG038 is Polar's G-Series double door counter freezer — a stainless steel worktop over frozen storage, built to increase both freezer capacity and prep space in one unit. The 160-litre net capacity keeps the most-used frozen ingredients within easy reach at counter height, helping speed up prep and streamline workflow rather than sending staff to a separate chest or upright freezer.
Two adjustable shelves organise stock at -20°C to -10°C, cooled by a static system drawing 260W on a 220-240V supply. It's rated Energy Class D at 1817.7kWh a year with an EEI of 54.8%, reflecting genuine sub-zero freezing performance, and carries a climate class 4 rating on R290 refrigerant. User-friendly digital controls with a clear display make temperature management straightforward.
Construction is strong, easy-clean stainless steel, with a single adjustable shelf and one floor protector supplied as standard for flexible storage configuration. For busy services, the shelf can be removed to slide in a full-size 1/1 GN gastronorm pan directly (sold separately). Defrost is simple and manual, and the front-vented design keeps installation straightforward — no rear clearance needed for ventilation. It weighs 86kg gross and carries a 2-year parts and labour warranty.
