Why this single door commercial upright freezer earns its place
The TEFCOLD UF600 is a single-door commercial upright freezer built for high-volume frozen storage in a working kitchen. It offers 605 litres gross and 555 litres net across six fixed GN2/1 freezing shelves, holding bulk stock, prepped batches and portioned goods in one solid-door cabinet. The hinged solid door and electronic controller keep the load secure and the temperature band steady, so back-of-house teams can organise frozen inventory rather than stack product on the floor.
It runs a static cooling system across a -24 to -10 °C band, with manual defrost so you clear ice build-up on a schedule that suits your service pattern. At 45 dB it stays quiet enough for kitchens where the freezer shares space with prep. Its climate class 4 rating suits warm back-of-house environments where ambient temperatures run high. On verified energy use of 817.6 kWh a year, running cost works out at about £204 a year at 25p/kWh.
The cabinet measures 777 × 695 × 1895 mm externally and ships packed at 850 × 770 × 2070 mm, weighing 112 kg gross and 107 kg net, so check doorway and corridor clearance against the packed dimensions before delivery. It runs on a standard 220-240 V / 50 Hz supply drawing 13 amps, meaning a dedicated 13 amp socket is all that is needed. Cooling uses R600a refrigerant with a 130 g charge, and the white exterior with white ABS interior wipes down for hygiene.
