Why this upright freezer earns its place
The Polar G-Series PG593 is a single-door upright freezer for professional kitchens needing dedicated frozen storage, built to take large 2/1 gastronorm pans across a straight-line stainless steel cabinet. It's the direct successor to the popular G593, rebuilt around a stronger energy rating on the same footprint.
Inside there's 428 litres of net usable capacity, held at the standard commercial deep-freeze band of -22 to -18°C by fan-assisted cooling that maintains stable temperatures through the frequent door openings typical of a busy service. Energy Class C at 1412.5 kWh a year (EEI 39.4%) is the headline change from the outgoing model.
Removable door seals and heavy-duty castors make the freezer easy to strip down for cleaning and reposition without lifting gear, while the lockable self-closing door and 60mm insulation improve thermal efficiency and keep stock secure overnight. R290 refrigerant runs at Climate Class 5, and the unit is backed by two years' parts and labour warranty. Gross weight is 111kg, drawing on a 220-240V supply.
