Why this upright freezer earns its place
The Polar CD615 is a single-door upright freezer for back-of-house frozen storage, holding 600 litres of frozen stock in a 1890 mm high cabinet. It gives a commercial kitchen a straightforward full-height freezer for holding stock, prepped batches and bulk frozen goods behind the line, standing 780 mm wide and 695 mm deep.
It runs a -25 to -10 °C storage band and carries an energy class B rating, consuming 989 kWh per year (2.71 kWh per day). A climate class 4 rating means it is built to hold temperature in warmer back-of-house ambients up to 32 °C, so it stays reliable in a working kitchen rather than only a cool store. The cabinet weighs 94 kg and draws 230 W at 230 V.
Cooling runs on R600a, a hydrocarbon refrigerant chosen for low environmental impact. The cabinet features 60 mm of insulation, static cooling, and comes fitted with six shelves. As an upright format, it gives full-height access to frozen storage from a single door, so it slots into a line-up of storage units without spreading across the room.
