Why this upright freezer earns its place
The XR1300L is the double-door freezer in Foster's Xtra range, built for kitchens and catering operations that need substantial frozen storage without splitting it across multiple smaller cabinets. It pairs naturally with the XR1300H fridge for sites standardising on one range across chilled and frozen storage.
It holds 881 litres net across six 2/1 gastronorm shelf positions, running a genuine -21 to -18°C deep-freeze range with fan-assisted cooling for even distribution regardless of load. That capacity and temperature depth come with a running cost to match: 4452.6 kWh a year, Energy Class E, EEI 76.62%, on a 12199W input — the largest draw in the Xtra freezer line, reflecting both the volume and the sub-zero range it maintains. Climate Class 5 rating means it's built for warmer, harder-working kitchen conditions.
Build is stainless steel exterior with an aluminium interior, a user-removable door gasket for proper cleaning, and reversible doors for flexible installation on either side of a run. Castors allow repositioning without lifting equipment. Refrigerant is R290, defrost and operation are fully automatic, and Foster backs it with 2 years parts and labour warranty as standard.
