Why this double door commercial upright freezer earns its place
This is a 1400-litre double-door upright freezer built for commercial frozen storage — the reach-in cabinet that holds a kitchen's frozen stock at -10 to -22 °C at working height, behind two full-height doors you open to load and pick. It keeps frozen lines organised and to hand in the back of house, without the floor area a walk-in needs or the digging a chest freezer involves. The cabinet stands 2.05 metres tall on a 1.4 metre wide footprint and weighs 231 kg, so it slots vertically into a galley or dry store rather than eating floor space.
In service it works like any upright: stock loads onto internal shelving, you open a door to pick and close it again, and frozen lines stay sorted top to bottom rather than stacked in a well. LED interior lighting helps staff spot the stock they need fast. Keep it to a FIFO rotation and log your temperature checks as part of the daily routine so frozen stock stays safe and inside your HACCP records. The monoblock refrigeration is self-contained and runs quietly at 45 dB(A) on standard 230 V.
As a self-contained upright it stands in place and plugs in, so installation is far simpler than a walk-in — but leave clearance for airflow and for both doors to swing, and check the cabinet clears your doorways on the way in. The stainless steel 430 body with 60 mm insulation wraps the box tight, so it holds temperature even in a warm kitchen. Site it away from heat sources and out of direct sun so it is not fighting the room to hold temperature.
