Why this walk-in fridge earns its place
The CRPF2424 is a large walk-in chiller room for high-volume kitchens carrying serious quantities of chilled stock. It holds a steady 0 to +8 °C across an internal footprint of 2240 × 2240 × 2040 mm (W×D×H) — space for full delivery loads, racked prep and case stock in one dedicated cold room. The single hinged solid door is 700 mm wide and 1845 mm high, and both internal and external finishes are white for straightforward daily wipe-down.
Day to day the room is held on its band by an electronic controller, with automatic hot-gas defrost clearing the evaporator so there is no manual defrost routine. It runs at 60 dB on a 220-240 V/50 Hz supply, drawing 910 W. Cooling is a self-contained R290 monoblock carrying a 170 g charge, so there is no remote condensing unit to site. Energy use is rated at 8541 kWh a year, about £2135 a year at 25p/kWh depending on tariff, ambient and door traffic.
For siting, this is a heavy fixed installation: 566 kg net and 596 kg gross, so floor loading and the delivery route both need careful planning. The 700 mm door width is the limit for wheeling in loaded trolleys and gastronorm racks, so measure your fullest trolley against it. The R290 circuit and 910 W draw run off a standard 220-240 V/50 Hz supply.
