Why this walk-in fridge earns its place
The TEFCOLD CRPF1827 is a walk-in chiller room that gives a working kitchen a dedicated cold store instead of a wall of upright fridges. Its 1640 × 2540 × 2040 mm internal footprint (W×D×H) takes deliveries, prepped stock and bulk ingredients behind a single door, keeping the main line clear and putting the whole day's cold storage in one place. Interior and exterior are white throughout, so panels wipe down for back-of-house hygiene.
Day to day it holds a 0 to +8 °C band under an electronic controller, with automatic hot-gas defrost clearing the evaporator so there are no manual shutdowns to schedule. It runs on R290 refrigerant with a 150 g charge and a rated sound level of 60 dB. Energy use is rated at 7709 kWh a year — about £1927 a year at 25p/kWh — so it is a fixed line on the utility budget worth sizing against actual stock volume.
The single hinged solid door measures 700 mm wide by 1845 mm high, the access dimension to plan your delivery route and doorway clearances around. The room weighs 490 kg net and 520 kg gross, and runs on a standard 220-240 V/50 Hz supply. Cooling is by a pre-fitted straddle unit, so once the panels are assembled the room is ready to power up.
