Why this walk-in fridge earns its place
The Tefcold CRPF1815 is a walk-in chiller room that gives a kitchen a dedicated cold store rather than a bank of upright fridges. It holds a stable 0 to +8 °C, the working band for fresh meat, dairy, produce and prepped stock, across an internal space of 1640 × 1340 × 2040 mm (W×D×H) — enough floor and height to walk in, shelve out and rotate stock through service.
Temperature is held by an integral R290 refrigeration system under electronic control, with automatic hot-gas defrost that clears the coil without a manual shutdown, so the room stays in band across a busy day. It runs at a measured 60 dB, and the interior and exterior are both finished in white for straightforward wipe-down cleaning. Access is through a single hinged solid door, 700 mm wide and 1845 mm high, sized for trolleys and stacked stock.
The unit draws 830 W on a 220–240 V/50 Hz supply and carries a 130 g charge of R290. It ships heavy — 362 kg gross, 332 kg net — so plan delivery access and a level, load-bearing floor. Full external and packed dimensions, plus the electrical and warranty detail, are listed in the specification table. At 6544.4 kWh a year the room works out at about £1636 a year to run at 25p/kWh.
