The DS480-CGY is a Polar U-Series integral walk-in cold room for commercial kitchens that need a compact but serious chilled store. It works to a 1200 x 1500 mm footprint, stands 2200 mm high and provides 2843 litres of gross volume, giving one walk-in space for deliveries, prep and slower-moving chilled stock.
The room's internal dimensions are listed at 2037 x 980 x 1280 mm, with one hinged door and fan-assisted cooling holding a +2 to +5 °C temperature range. The panel construction uses galvanised steel, aluminium and plastic with 80 mm insulation, and the manufacturer states the room is designed to work in 43°C conditions with an internal light and 13 amp plug.
Because the refrigeration is integral, there is no separate plant room or remote condenser to make space for. Before ordering, check the access route, level floor, 230V supply position, 350 kg gross weight and service clearance around the pack. Warranty cover is two years parts and labour, with a five-year panel guarantee stated by the manufacturer.
