Why this walk-in freezer earns its place
The TEFCOLD CRNF2427 is a large self-contained walk-in freezer room for high-volume frozen storage. Its 2160 × 2460 × 1960 mm internal chamber gives more than five square metres of floor to shelve and stack bulk frozen stock, deliveries and portioned prep, taking the pressure off upright freezers in a busy operation. The single hinged solid door opens to a 700 mm wide by 1765 mm high aperture for trolley loading.
Day to day it runs on an electronic controller with automatic hot-gas defrost, so the evaporator clears without a manual routine and the chamber holds its frozen band. Cooling uses R290 refrigerant with a 200 g charge, draws 1630 W and is rated at 60 dB. Against a verified 11599.7 kWh a year, running cost works out at about £2900 a year at 25p/kWh.
For install, the internal chamber is 2160 × 2460 × 1960 mm, so allow for the wall build-out and the standing footprint. This is a heavy unit at 800 kg gross and 770 kg net, so plan delivery access, floor loading and lifting carefully. Electrical supply is a 13-amp, 220-240 V/50 Hz single-phase connection.
