Why this walk-in freezer earns its place
The CRNF2130 is a walk-in freezer room for high-volume frozen storage. Its 1860 × 2760 × 1960 mm internal space is a room you walk into, so bulk frozen deliveries, trays and stacked cases sit in one controlled area instead of filling a bank of chest or upright freezers. It holds -20 to -10 °C, the working band for frozen meat, fish and prepared batches.
Cooling runs on R290, a natural hydrocarbon refrigerant, with a 200 g charge, and defrost is automatic hot-gas so ice is cleared without a manual routine. An electronic controller holds the set point and the unit draws 1630 W. It is rated at 11599.7 kWh a year — about £2900 a year at 25p/kWh, before your own tariff, door traffic and ambient are counted. At 60 dB it runs at a plant-room noise level, so factor its siting into a working area.
Access is through a single hinged solid door measuring 700 mm wide and 1765 mm high, wide enough for trolleys and full trays. The room weighs 730 kg net (760 kg gross), runs on a 13 A, 220–240 V supply, and is finished white inside and out. Given the near-2.8 m internal depth, plan the build location and the route in for the panels before delivery.
