Why this walk-in freezer earns its place
The CRNF1524 is a walk-in freezer room for kitchens that need dedicated frozen bulk storage rather than a bank of chest or upright freezers. It holds -20 to -10 °C across an internal footprint of 1260 × 2160 × 1960 mm (W×D×H) — space for frozen deliveries, batch-frozen prep and case stock in one cold room. The single hinged solid door is 700 mm wide and 1765 mm high, and both internal and external finishes are white for easy daily wipe-down.
In use the room is held on its band by an electronic controller, with automatic hot-gas defrost clearing the evaporator so there is no manual defrost routine. It runs at 60 dB and draws 1100 W on a 13 A, 220-240 V/50 Hz supply. Cooling is a self-contained R290 monoblock with a 150 g charge, so there is no remote condensing unit to install. Energy use is rated at 8208 kWh a year, about £2052 a year at 25p/kWh depending on tariff, ambient and door traffic.
For siting, plan around the weight and access: the room is 349 kg net and 379 kg gross, so floor loading and the delivery route both need checking. The 700 mm door width sets the limit for wheeling in loaded trolleys and racks, so measure your fullest trolley against it. The R290 circuit runs off a standard 13 A, 220-240 V/50 Hz supply.
