Why this walk-in freezer earns its place
The CRNF1224 is a walk-in freezer room that turns a corner of a commercial kitchen or store into proper frozen storage — an internal 960 × 2160 × 1960 mm (W×D×H) space finished white inside and out, entered through a single hinged solid door with a 580 mm × 1765 mm aperture. It holds frozen deliveries, batch-prepped stock and bulk product at a hard freezer band, walk-in access keeping everything to hand rather than stacked in a chest.
In use it runs a -20 to -10 °C band under an electronic controller, with automatic hot-gas defrost that clears the evaporator through the run cycle so the room stays down to temperature. Noise sits at 60 dB. Rated consumption is 8208 kWh a year, putting running cost at about £2052 at 25p/kWh — worth checking against your frozen throughput with the finance and breakdown-cost tools below.
The room draws 1100 W on a 220–240 V/50 Hz single-phase 13 A supply and uses R290 refrigerant with a 150 g charge. Net weight is 420 kg (450 kg gross). Plan the build route and floor around the 580 × 1765 mm door leaf and the internal footprint, and allow drainage and clearance around the condensing pack when siting it.
