Why this glass door multideck fridge earns its place
The TEFCOLD Galaxy+ GP14FGD is a glass-door multideck that merchandises chilled stock like an open front but keeps the cold behind two hinged glass doors. Five adjustable shelves present 1.91 m² of display in an all-black RAL9005 finish, inside and out, so drinks, dairy, packaged meat and prepared food read cleanly against a dark background. The doors let customers see the full range while cutting the energy an open front loses to the aisle.
The cabinet holds -1 to +5 °C, a band suited to chilled retail stock, and clears frost on an automatic defrost cycle managed by an electronic controller. It is rated climate class 3 to hold that band on a warm shop floor. The B energy class and 1335.9 kWh a year work out at about £334 a year at 25p/kWh — a low figure for a cabinet this size, helped by the glass doors — with running noise rated at 55 dB.
The cabinet measures 1330 × 750 × 2040 mm (W×D×H) and runs from a standard 13 A supply on 220-240 V. Net weight is 285 kg (369 kg gross), so plan delivery access and a firm, level floor. For doorway clearance the packed unit is 1350 × 770 × 2320 mm — measure your narrowest opening first. Refrigerant is R290 (140 g charge), a low-GWP hydrocarbon, with 1443 litres gross and 629 litres net capacity.
