Why this double door glass door fridge earns its place
The TEFCOLD FSC1200S is a double-door glass merchandiser with 645 litres of net capacity — 967 litres gross — behind two self-closing sliding glass doors. Sliding doors matter in tight aisles: nothing swings out into the walkway, and self-closing action means the cold stays in even during the busiest trading hours. The exterior is white RAL9016 with a white painted steel interior, keeping drinks, dairy and chilled impulse lines clearly on show.
In operation it holds +2 to +10 °C on ventilated cooling, with automatic defrost and an electronic controller — no manual defrost routine. Climate class 4 rates it for warm, busy retail environments, and it runs at 48 dB(A). Energy class is F, using 2482 kWh a year — about £621 a year at 25p/kWh, which the width and capacity have to earn back in sales.
The cabinet measures 1200 × 740 × 2000 mm and weighs 178 kg, yet still runs from a standard 13 A socket at 220-240 V, drawing 880 W — no dedicated supply needed.
