Why this single door upright glass door freezer earns its place
The Tefcold UPD400F is an upright display freezer built to merchandise frozen lines through a single hinged heated glass door. It offers 364 litres gross and 248 litres net, with 1.95 m² of display area behind the glass, finished in black and glass outside with a stainless steel and glass interior for a clean retail look.
Day to day it holds -25 to -18 °C with automatic defrost under an electronic controller, and the heated glass door reduces condensation so the frozen contents stay visible. It uses R290 refrigerant with a 150 g charge and runs at 42 dB. At 8581.2 kWh a year it works out to about £2145 a year at 25p/kWh, sitting in energy class D with an energy efficiency index of 47.4% and drawing 1000 W; actual running cost varies with your tariff, ambient temperature and door openings.
The interior measures 588 × 516 × 1200 mm and the unit ships as a 720 × 720 × 2030 mm packed carton, so the 720 mm packed width clears a standard doorway, though the 2030 mm packed height needs checking for ceiling clearance on delivery. It weighs 203 kg net and 225 kg gross, and connects to a standard 13-amp supply at 220-240V/50Hz single phase.
