Why this flat glass cake display fridge earns its place
The Blizzard CD400R is a round-case cake display fridge — a full-height glass showcase with a compact circular footprint that presents cakes, gateaux and patisserie on all sides. It is a merchandising fixture first: the wraparound glass gives customers a clear view of the product from across the room, which is what turns a display counter into an impulse sale in a café or bakery.
Cooling is by R600a, a natural low-GWP hydrocarbon refrigerant, with automatic defrost so the cabinet clears frost on its own rather than needing a manual shut-down and thaw. At 55 dB(A) it is quiet enough to sit front-of-house near seating, and it is built to climate class 4, giving a realistic margin for a warm, busy serving area.
The footprint is compact for a full-height case: 680 mm square and 1750 mm tall. The 680 mm width clears standard doorways, so it is straightforward to bring in and position, though at 140 kg it is a two-person move. Site it out of direct sun and away from heat sources, and confirm the electrical supply against the current specification before installation.
