Why this countertop cake display fridge earns its place
The Cold Display is a Combisteel countertop cake display fridge: a compact refrigerated cabinet at 697mm wide and 57kg that stands on a counter, back bar or till point and turns finished desserts into the first thing a customer sees. The glazed display keeps cakes, tarts and gateaux on show from the customer side while holding them at chilled serving condition, so front-of-house staff can serve without opening a back fridge. At 58dB(A) it runs quietly enough for a till area or serving point.
As a self-contained display cabinet it runs from its own refrigeration and merchandises finished product through the trading day. The 130-litre capacity suits a moderate-turnover counter without tying up valuable floor or back-of-house space. The glazing keeps the chilled air in and the view clear — the cabinet does the chilling while the display does the selling, which is what separates a counter display from bulk cold storage.
Because it is a countertop format, it needs a level surface with clearance around the cabinet for airflow and a socket within reach. Plan the counter run and any pass-through doorways before delivery so the unit reaches its final position cleanly, and keep it clear of ovens, heaters and direct sun so the refrigeration can hold temperature.
