Why this countertop cake display fridge earns its place
The CD100R is a round-case countertop cake display built to put gateaux, tarts and patisserie in full view at the point of sale. The curved glass case gives a clear all-round line of sight to whatever is on show, so a customer waiting at the till sees the cakes before they see the menu. It sits on the counter rather than the floor, which keeps the display at eye level where it does the selling.
Day to day it runs on automatic defrost, so the evaporator clears itself on a set cycle without anyone taking the case apart. It is rated to climate class 4, meaning it is built to hold its cabinet conditions in a warm room rather than a tightly air-conditioned one — useful in a busy café or bakery where the kitchen throws off heat. At 55 dB(A) it carries the low hum you would expect of a counter unit in a service area rather than a silent library.
The footprint is compact and square: 480 mm wide by 480 mm deep, standing 1030 mm tall to the top of the dome, and the unit weighs 55 kg, so the counter or shelf beneath it needs to take that load. It uses R600a, a natural hydrocarbon refrigerant with a low global-warming potential. Check the spec table below for the electrical supply, shelf count and operating temperature band before you site it.
