Why this countertop cake display fridge earns its place
The COLDT1 is a countertop refrigerated merchandiser — a compact glazed display that sits on the counter and keeps cakes, desserts, sandwiches and cold snacks chilled and in full view where customers order and pay. It measures just 697 × 578 × 677 mm (W × D × H) and holds 130 litres across two adjustable chrome-plated shelves, so it earns counter space that would otherwise sit idle, turning the point of sale into a display that sells the last-minute treat rather than storing it out of sight. LED lighting illuminates the contents without adding heat.
Day to day it runs automatic defrost, so the unit clears its own coil on cycle without a member of staff draining it or switching it off mid-service. It maintains 2–12°C with a digital controller and temperature display, so you can check the temperature at a glance. It is rated to climate class 4, a warmer-ambient rating, so it holds temperature reliably in a café or servery where the counter sits close to coffee machines, ovens or a busy front of house. At 180W it is a modest electrical load on a 13A supply.
The cabinet weighs 57 kg, light enough for two people to lift onto a counter that can carry the load. It uses R600a, a low-GWP hydrocarbon refrigerant common in compact commercial display. Leave ventilation clearance around the unit so the condenser can breathe, and keep it clear of direct heat and sunlight for the steadiest performance.
