THE WORKING VIEW

Why this undercounter earns its place

The BC2 is a back-bar bottle cooler sized for bars, restaurants, and smaller venues where undercounter space is tight but you still need chilled stock visible and accessible. Two glass doors open independently, letting your staff grab a bottle without opening both doors and dumping cold air out. Stainless steel finish resists spilled drinks, citrus spray, and the chemical bar-top cleaners that would mark or rust a painted surface.

Glass doors are the key. Customers and staff see what's chilled without opening the cabinet, which cuts door-opening during service and keeps your running cost down. Undercounter position means the cooler sits flush under your bar or service counter, leaving the working surface clear. The footprint is smaller than three-door models, so it fits tighter back-bar arrangements.

BEFORE YOU BUY

Questions, answered straight

Standard double-door bottle coolers are 800–850 mm tall. Measure your undercounter gap. If you have less than 800 mm or the door swing conflicts with the bar layout, call 01792 732702 to check if a slimmer variant exists.

A typical two-door configuration holds 50–80 standard wine or beer bottles, depending on shelf arrangement. Adjust shelf spacing to match your stock rotation and the bottle types you carry.

Use the energy label decoder tool — enter the cabinet's kWh figure and your pence per unit to see annual cost. Most two-door back-bar coolers run in the £150–250 range per year.

Two-door coolers are quieter than multidecks but audible during quiet periods. If seating backs up to the bar, position the cooler away from customer ears. Call us on 01792 732702 to discuss positioning if noise is a concern.

Standard glass doors don't have individual locks. If you need to secure premium stock, discuss with us — some coolers have locking options.

Typically +2 to +8°C, suitable for wine, beer, and soft drinks. Check the spec sheet for exact temperature bands if you need precision for premium or specialist stock.
