Why this beer fridge earns its place
The Polar G-Series GJ448 is the sliding-door version of Polar's 490 litre upright back bar cooler, built for bottle and can service where space behind the counter is tight. Instead of swinging out into the gangway, the double-glazed self-closing doors slide across the cabinet, keeping chilled stock accessible without making staff step around open doors.
Inside, eight adjustable shelves let you organise best sellers for visibility, with LED lighting to show bottles and cans clearly in lower-light bars and pubs. Fan assisted and static cooling holds drinks at +2 to +8 °C, with digital controls for straightforward adjustment and R600a refrigerant with GWP 3.
The black painted steel cabinet is 920 mm wide, 514 mm deep and 1880 mm high, with a 128 kg gross weight, so check delivery access and the finished bar run before it arrives. It runs from a 230V supply with 400 W rated input, carries energy class C, and is listed at 4.745 kWh/24h or 1731.93 kWh/year. Polar states G-Series bar refrigeration is designed for everyday professional use and reliable temperature holding in conditions up to 32 °C.
