Why this single door upright glass door freezer earns its place
This is a compact upright display freezer with a single glass door, finished in black. Unlike a solid-door or chest freezer that hides its contents, the glazed front puts frozen lines on show — ice cream, frozen desserts, ready meals — so a customer can see what's in stock and self-select at the point of sale. At just 208 litres and 490 mm wide, it's a purpose-built frozen merchandiser that fits tight retail spaces where a bigger cabinet won't work.
Run as a frozen display at -22 to -18 °C, the cabinet keeps stock frozen while the glass door lets customers look before they open it, so you lose less cold air than an open chest that gets lifted into all day. It uses static cooling with 60 mm insulation — thicker than a standard fridge — to hold freezing temperatures reliably. The single-door format keeps the footprint tight: just 490 mm wide and 1.92 metres tall, so it stands tall in a narrow aisle. It runs very quietly at 43 dB, the quietest option for front-of-house freezer display. Manual defrost means no automatic cycles to plan around.
At 73 kg and with a narrow 490 mm footprint, it suits tight spaces where delivery and siting are straightforward. The cabinet draws just 0.45 kW, one of the most efficient options. Lockable doors are standard for security. Check your doorways against the 490 mm width — most fit. Once sited, keep it out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources so the freezing can stay stable. Craven Cooling supplies and supports the cabinet, so there's a UK team behind it after install.
