Why this supermarket freezer earns its place
The Tefcold SUPER 220DE is a large-format white supermarket display freezer for merchandising frozen goods in retail. It puts 1.42 m² of high-vision display over 630 usable litres (870 litres gross) of frozen stock, built to run a full frozen range as a shopper-facing sales cabinet rather than back-of-house storage.
It holds a -24 to -18 °C band with static cooling and automatic defrost under electronic control, and is rated at 48 dB. Cooling is on R290 refrigerant with a 60 g charge. At 2573.2 kWh a year (energy class C, EEI 33.0%) it costs about £643 a year to run at 25p/kWh.
Externally the cabinet measures 2220 × 920 × 790 mm (W×D×H) with an internal 2062 × 774 × 490 mm, so it is floor width rather than height that governs where it goes. It ships crated at 2310 × 1020 × 850 mm, so plan the delivery route and access against the packed size. It runs from a standard 13-amp socket on a 220-240 V/50 Hz supply, draws 662 W, and weighs 135 kg net (190 kg gross).
