Why this supermarket freezer earns its place
The Tefcold MTF210B VS is a large black-finished wall-site display freezer/chiller fronted by three self-closing heated glass doors, so packaged stock stays visible and lit while the doors seal themselves shut behind each customer. With 893 litres of gross capacity and 628 litres of usable net volume behind a 1.17 m² display, it is built to hold a full range in a single upright footprint.
Cooling is ventilated for even air distribution across the shelves, and defrost is fully automatic, so there is no manual defrost routine. An electronic controller holds the setting, the heated glass doors resist misting front-of-house, and the cabinet is built for climate class 4 ambient conditions. It is rated energy class C with a 22.6% energy efficiency index and a measured 58 dB, and on 2,733.8 kWh a year it costs about £683 to run at 25p/kWh.
It runs on a standard 220–240 V 13-amp supply and uses natural R290 hydrocarbon refrigerant with a 145 g charge. The three doors are self-closing and heated to stay clear. At 288 kg net it is a substantial unit, so plan lifting and positioning accordingly and confirm the delivery route can take a large upright cabinet before it arrives.
