Why this supermarket freezer earns its place
The TEFCOLD DUPLA 2.2DE HC is a white display chest freezer from TEFCOLD's High Vision range, holding 334 litres net — 425 litres gross — with 0.65 m² of display area. At 915 mm tall it sits at browsing height, putting frozen impulse stock where customers can reach straight in, and its 1470 mm width gives a proper run of frozen display in the middle of a store or at the end of an aisle.
It holds -24 to -18 °C — a genuine storage-grade frozen band, not just display temperature — using static cooling with automatic defrost and an electronic controller. It is quiet at 46 dB(A) and rated to climate class 3. The efficiency is the headline: energy class C, using 1496.5 kWh a year, which works out at about £374 a year at 25p/kWh — unusually low for frozen display.
Installation needs little planning: the cabinet measures 1470 × 812 × 915 mm, weighs 85 kg net, and runs from a standard 13 A socket at 220-240 V, drawing just 267 W. Packed size is 1530 × 1000 × 1050 mm for delivery route checks. The refrigerant is R290, a low-GWP hydrocarbon, with an 80 g charge.
