Why this impulse cooler/freezer earns its place
The Tefcold BTA76-B1/UK is an impulse can cooler — a compact drinks cooler designed to sit at the point of sale, where a chilled can added to a queue turns waiting time into an extra sale. It is a merchandising unit, not a stockroom fridge: its job is to put cold drinks in front of the customer at the moment they decide.
On running cost, it is rated energy class C and uses about 203.7 kWh a year, which works out at roughly £51 a year at 25p/kWh, with an energy efficiency index of 21.6. That keeps the standing cost of a till-side drinks cooler predictable and low against the impulse sales it is there to win.
Being an impulse cooler, it is built to sit out on a counter or beside the till rather than to be built in. It measures 456×456×1076 mm externally and holds 76 litres — compact enough to fit a typical till-side counter — whilst maintaining a chilled range of +1 to +9 °C. At just 30 kg, it moves easily on its castors when stock rotation or deep cleaning is needed. Craven Cooling supplies and services the Tefcold range, so support comes from the same team that delivers it.
