Why this ventilated cooled ice cream display freezer earns its place
The MILLENNIUM LX16 is a scoop ice cream display freezer built to put a working flavour range in front of customers at the counter. Its 0.95 m² display area and 870-litre gross capacity carry a solid spread of scooping tubs on show, and the white exterior with a stainless steel interior keeps the cabinet clean-looking and easy to wipe down through service.
Cooling is ventilated, circulating air to hold the display evenly between -20 and -14 °C — the band that keeps scooping ice cream firm and at serving texture. Defrost is automatic using hot gas, so there is no manual routine to run. The cabinet is rated to climate class 7 and runs at 56 dB, with an EEI of 48.7% and energy class D; at its rated 9,588.5 kWh a year that works out to about £2,397 a year at 25p/kWh.
It weighs 270 kg net and 313 kg packed, so plan the delivery route and a firm floor before it arrives. The cabinet draws 2340 W through a dedicated 16 amp supply at 220-240 V, and uses R290 refrigerant with a 148 g charge.
