Why this static cooled ice cream display freezer earns its place
The Tefcold IC502SCE-SO is a scoop ice cream display freezer, built so an operator can serve loose scoops straight from an open display well. It presents 427 litres gross of frozen product in a white cabinet with a 1420 mm-wide interior, the width doing the work of putting a full row of tubs on show for scoop-serve. It is a front-of-shop merchandising freezer for a parlour, café or kiosk.
Day to day it holds -24 to -14 °C, runs at 45 dB and is rated to climate class 5. Defrost is manual and control is mechanical. On energy it sits at class D, using 957 kWh a year — about £239 a year at 25p/kWh — with an energy efficiency index of 43.9.
Internally it measures 1420 × 495 × 710 mm (W×D×H) and it draws 350 W from a standard 13 A supply, so it plugs into an ordinary socket rather than needing a dedicated circuit.
