Why this ice cream maker earns its place
The Nemox Gelato Chef FPMX0489 CM768 is a batch ice cream and gelato maker built to produce fresh frozen desserts on site. Rather than buying in tubs, a café, parlour or restaurant can churn its own gelato, ice cream and signature flavours in the kitchen and put a made-here line on the menu. The Gelato Chef is built for longer production cycles than the 4K: each batch takes 25–30 minutes to prepare, so you can plan it around quieter spells and have a fresh batch ready as demand picks up.
Each batch holds up to 2.5 litres (or 1 kg of gelato mixture), and the machine is rated at an output of 2.8 litres an hour. A density control switch lets you tune the consistency — softer or firmer — without changing settings, and automatic storage mode keeps the gelato at the right texture once production is done. The 304 stainless steel bowl is removable and the stainless steel mixing paddle includes removable scrapers for easy cleaning. A magnetic safety device stops the paddle automatically when the lid lifts.
It is a fill-run-empty batch maker: load the mix, run the cycle, draw off the finished gelato and reload for the next flavour. At 270 × 370 × 420 mm it is more compact than a full-size warewash, and at 17 kg it's lighter than many alternatives. It needs a stable worktop, a mains socket (220–240V, 220W) and no plumbing. It uses R134a refrigerant. Check the footprint against your bench space and confirm the supply near it before you set it up.
