Why this ice cream maker earns its place
The Nemox Gelato 4K is a touch-screen batch maker for ice cream and gelato, built to make product on site in small runs rather than dispense it to order. It's a self-contained machine for cafés, patisseries and kitchens that want to make their own gelato and keep control of the recipe. The Gelato 4K uses the latest automation: when production consistency reaches the right density the machine switches automatically into storage mode, continuously stirring to hold the mixture at the set consistency. A touch screen with five selectable storage levels lets you dial the hardness (softer to harder) at any point during storage.
Each cycle makes a batch of 2.5 litres of finished ice cream or gelato, and the machine produces at 5.6 litres an hour across successive batches (or 4 kg per hour). Preparation time is 12–15 minutes per cycle. The 304 stainless steel bowl is removable for easy cleaning, and a magnetic safety device stops the paddle automatically when the lid lifts. Ice cream can be held in storage for a maximum of 8 hours, after which the machine switches off automatically to protect the product.
It's a self-contained unit that plugs in and runs — very compact at 300 × 415 × 415 mm and 25 kg. Electrical supply is 220–240V at 400W, so check the footprint against your available bench space and confirm the supply before ordering. It uses R404a refrigerant.
